Eat Fish with Sea Harvest

Sea Harvest’s Kids-for-Kids Campaign, has pledged to raise R300 000 towards equipping the newly built bigger and better Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital.

Children can help make a difference to the lives of other children. The Sea Harvest Kids for Kids initiative, which runs annually from November to February, is now into its seventh year. A portion of the sales of selected Sea Harvest crumbed fish products are donated to The Children’s Hospital Trust. To date R1.6 million has been donated to the Trust for a variety of projects at the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital in Cape Town.

This year the Sea Harvest Kids for Kids initiative will go towards ICU equipment for the hospital’s paediatric intensive care unit (ICU), which is the largest ICU for children in Africa. Currently it has 22 beds for critically ill or injured children who come for specialised care and emergency surgeries from different African countries. The demands on this unit are higher than their capacity to deliver.

So get eating Sea Harvest fish! Not only is it good brain food, but you can also get a warm fuzzy feeling in your tummy knowing you’ve saved many children’s lives.
