Grateful Hearts Community
Nobody understands better than a parent the emotional strength that is necessary to cope with a very sick child. The Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital in Cape Town, South Africa, is more than just a hospital that treats very sick children. This extraordinary hospital holds the hopes and dreams of desperately ill children from across Africa; children whose lives have been altered by the tragedy of childhood disease. It is home to anguished parents whose lives have been put on hold while they remain at the bedsides of their children.
The Children’s Hospital Trust’s Grateful Hearts Programme gives a voice to the thousands of patients and their families whose lives have been touched by the care they received at this very special Hospital.
Are you a Grateful Heart?
The Grateful Hearts programme is not only for past patients and grateful families. It is for anyone whose life has been directly affected by the Hospital and who wishes to partner with the Children’s Hospital Trust to keep the Hospital on the forefront of paediatric healthcare so that it can continue to help thousands more sick children start their journey to a better childhood. Has the Hospital had an impact on your and your family’s life? Would you like to share your story with us, and other parents who face similar situations?
