The third annual Engen Charity Golf Challenge took place on Tuesday, the 4th of December 2012 at the King David Golf Course in Belville.
The event saw 120 golfers tee off in aid of the Trust. Although the wind was howling and often played havoc with the golf balls, there was high spirits and great camaraderie between the dedicated golfers, ready to play a successful game of golf for a great cause.
Over R500 000 was raised from the Golf day as well as other Engen sporting initiatives with 100% of this donation going towards the Burns Rehabilitation Programme in the Specialist Burns Unit at the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital.
Engen Petroleum have been long-time supporters of the Trust and Hospital through their sponsorships of motorsport, soccer and cycling. To date these initiatives have raised more than R1.5 million towards the Hospital.
