Kim Williams, full-time employed Operational ALS Paramedic for the City of Johannesburg Fire Department founded Adventure with a Purpose where she combines her passion for children, medicine, adventure and mountains to create a platform where ordinary South Africans can join her on adventures to raise awareness and funds for various projects.
One such adventure is the Tankwa Camino – a 256km endurance hike that Kim will take place from 6 – 15 May in aid of the Children’s Hospital Trust to build a bigger and better Paediatric ICU at the Red Cross Children’s Hospital. The 10-day hike will take place between Calvinia and Ceres in the extremely parched Tankwa Karoo region.
Also known as the ‘Pink fire fighter’, Kim is an experienced adventurer and will dedicate each day of the hike to the little children at the Red Cross Children’s Hospital, as well as record the entire journey to share with the public.
