The Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital is one of the world’s leading tertiary Children’s Hospitals working to save children’s lives and develop new cures for the future, making the vital contribution from legacies even more valuable to the health of our children in the future.
Every day, children with some of the most complex and rare illnesses come to the Red Cross Children’s Hospital as their beacon of hope. With your legacy gift we can continue to support ground-breaking research, provide leading edge equipment and redevelopment projects which allow us to treat more children than ever before.
The South African Government pays for the annual running costs of the Hospital. However, there are unfortunately not sufficient government funds available for the upgrade of buildings, facilities, equipment or services. This is where the Children’s Hospital Trust plays such a critical role in supporting outreach programmes that serve to strengthen the healthcare system in the Western Cape.
