Children’s Hospital Trust CEO, Louise Driver, wins top award!

The Children’s Hospital Trust’s CEO, Louise Driver, has won the Social Entrepreneurship category at the Businesswomen’s Association of South Africa’s Regional Business Achievers Awards , jointly tied with Tarisai Mchuchu-Ratshidi, Director of ‘Young in Prison.’
These awards applaud and recognise phenomenal businesswomen, honouring Entrepreneurial and Professional women and the Trust is thrilled that Louise has been the recipient of such an acclaimed award.
Some of the criteria Louise had to meet for this esteemed award were:
– Need to be controlling or involved in the budget of the organisation, and be able to show a track record of income received and expenditure on projects; and proof that the organisation is financially sustainable.
– Provide evidence of how she has applied practical, innovative and sustainable approaches to benefit society in general.
– Direct social impact
– Scale of projects and initiatives
– Sustainability
– Need to demonstrate a unique approach to economic and social problems, to show an approach that cuts across sectors and disciplines, grounded in certain values and processes that are common to each social entrepreneur, independent of what her area of focus has been.
